Welcome

As Lincoln stated in the Gettysburg address, our government was designed to be a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”  Instead, we have let our government evolve into one by and for special interests, a government that has lost sight of the common good.

A government for the people is a government that acts in support of the people and the common good.  A government by the people requires that individual citizens assume personal responsibility for their participation in our representative democracy.

Our vision is:

To create a society in which the people are sovereign and take personal responsibility for their government by being informed, expressing their views on policy matters, holding their representatives accountable, protecting the operation of democratic processes, and promoting decisions that serve the people and the common good.

Our mission is:

To promote government by and for the people through education, collaboration, and activism.
